Nepal Trekking Permit

Trekking Permit:

All trekkers visiting to Nepal for trekking in different region required special trekking permit to enter interior region which are not connected by highways. Each areas required separate trekking permits that means if you go trek for two regions then you required two trekking permits.

Recently Annapurna, Everest and Langtang regions have been declared “permit free” areas however you will be charged National Park or Conservation Area Fees. The trekking permits and national park entrances can be processed from the immigration offices in Kathmandu and Pokhara. For this you will be required two photographs and a copy of passport with the application.

Terms and Conditions:

  1. This entry permit is valid for single person entry and is non-refundable, non-transferable. The permit holder can enter the designated places within the Conservation Area.
  2. Person entering the Conservation Area shall abide by the National Park and Wildlife Conservation Act 2029 B.S. ( 1973, Nepal) and the Regulations made under this Act.
  3. The entry permit must be carried during the entire trip and should be shown if concerned personnel of the Conservation Area want to check it.
  4. Entry permits to Annapurna Conservation Area and Manaslu Conservation Area will only be issued from their respective counters and they will not be issued from any check posts along the trekking routes of the Conservation Areas. However under special circumstances, entry permit may be issued from the cheek post along the trekking route upon a payment of 100% additional charge.
  5. To get a group trekking permit an application from with other relevant documents should be submitted through any registered trekking agency of Nepal.
  6. Trekking fee can be paid in Nepalese currency: Notwithstanding anything written in above, the Indian citizen can pay in Nepalese equivalent to US Dollars.
